Living Trust

Revocable Living Trust

A living trust is a legal arrangement created during a person's lifetime that can hold and manage assets while they're alive and distribute those assets after death, often avoiding the probate process entirely.

Unlike a will, which only takes effect after death and typically goes through public probate, a living trust can operate immediately and stays private.

In Plain English

It's a legal container that holds your assets, works while you're alive, and passes things on after you're gone — usually without a court getting involved.
